Its already easy enough to get R6 KoabD we don't need more titles.

Anet is working on GW2 anyways. They aren't going to add any new material or titles to GW.

Have you ever considered the fact that this happens a LOT, from a LOT of people, and there may be a reason for it? Your ideas are stupid, and people tell you that frequently. If it was only 1-2 people, I could understand your point. But when you see it from a huge number, in virtually every topic, maybe, just maybe, they have a good point.

/unsigned

Too many of them are afk-able. The ones that aren't dont' fit with the story. White Mantle is part of the story, and giving a benefit based on it, while it changes is just wrong.

hmm, try to bring you the titles nearer, in an other kind of view:

White Mantle/ Rebel: Many People find about Guild Wars boring, that the Storyline is way too one sided and linear. That Characters end up ever only as heroes and that players can't be bad guys and girls, which went to the dark side...

The White Mantle is an order of Humans and Humans make very much decisions in their life, why should players have not to decide, if they want to be a Whiite mantle, or if they become Rebels and help the Shining Blade, which are rebels and part of the Story.

Yes, this title would mean, that some missions in the Maguuma Region and South Shiverpeaks would need some additional outposts for the other faction and that prophecies woudl need for that other faction an alternative storyline twig around the lore, but thats really nothing, that could not be solved with maybe another Add On, that we could buy then.

GW2 will release in 2009/2010 ..thats alot of time to wait for its release with no new content between that.
---------

About the Gold Sink titles, like Dyer, Crafter and Salvager, I said only.. that they are possible for implemention, I said not.. that they are really needed, but I would find it nice to see them in the game, they would give the player little benefits and give the player more things do to.
Also thsoe titles are like all the other Grind Titles ... nobody forces you to max them, but the existence of them would be a new addition to the game to would give players more thigns to do, before GW2 will release.
------

About the Runner Title.. as said.. runnign counts only, when using skilsl, that increase your movement speed, but when this concept is too simple for you...we can make the requirements also harder, by increasign the amount of metres runned for the ranks, and also that only running in HM for example will count and only in explorable areas naturally and i'm sure, that they can be mechanics implementedto this title, that will make sure, that people won't run only in circles permanently on 1 spot.

god , this game even has dumb title for death leveling, so why not one for running, which makes more sense to have a title for, then for death leveling in a TUTORIAL

And last but not least:

Sylvari and Charr Title:

We have Asura Title, we have Norn Title, we have even Dwaven Title, where Dwarfs will not be a playable race in GW2 and the Ebon Vanguard Title is the Title for the Humans.
its common sense, that Sylvari and Charr need then also their Titles so that all races will have their reputation titles.

Sylvari will be surely implented, when not for GW1, then for GW2 when the race becomes playable. I personally found it stupid, that we haven't seen in Eye of the North 1 signle Sylvari, that the add On was only about the Norns and the Asura, with a little touch around the Charr, showign them us only again as enemies, because Gwen has a grudge against Charr...

But not all Charr are enemies of the Human, or how to you explain please that under the Charr are also Rebels ??? Pyre Fierceshot to say a name...
Humans could receive reputation under the Charr Rebels, that would be then the Charr-Title.

the Developers said, we will be able in Eye of the North, too see alot more about the cultivation of the Charr and their culture !!!
They totally lied at us, because we've nothign seen of charr culture in the game or their cultivation... other that we have seen their homelands >.> WOW
But yet again we've seen only again only male Charrs, no female ones... we still really know nearly nothign about the Charr Culture, other than that the Charr are a fire addicted race, where Shamans have under them the Might and are their leaders, because the shamans of them control the fire and were the ones, which stood in contact with the titans, which were once their gods.

Would have Anet made their work complete, then they would have implemented to EoTn a way for the players to explore the charr culture far more and with getting more and more charr reputation becoming then a friend of the charr (more reputation system like Gothic 3) you help more and more the charr.. so more and more become they friendly towards you, so more do you learn about the race and get threatened under them, as if you would be one of them, because you've learned then, what it means to be a charr.

Yet the concepts of the race reputation titles are all a total joke, because it makes absolutely no difference in the gameplay or storywise, if you are now rank 0 or r10 in those titles >.> the good concept around reputation from gothic 3 for example is totally missing in Guild Wars, in GW is again all about grind and making only skills through higher ranks more powerful >.<

However, enough said... just add a poll.... polls tell 1000x more, than douzens of flames

PS: more titles also means, that players receive more alternatives for decision, which titles a player wants to max for KoaBD ...

Nobody wants rep grind titles implemented in the only game which does not have them

No more gold sink titles, they are just /fail

The running title is just useless, i mean really, there is no skill involved what so ever. Basically, hit 'r' facing a wall, then just keep pressing your running skill, xxx hours later you have title. Really, just awful.

As for more eotn rep titles, we already have 4, aren't you content grinding them?

So basically, every one of those ideas is rubbish.

Phoenix..... really..... trry paying attention to the game you play. Charr have several quests in GW:EN that give us information about their society. Some is viewed from the enemies, and some from the allies. The race reputation titles provide both passive and active benefits. Asura gives more energy to the player with that title active, and the amount of energy is based on your rank in the title. So dont' say there is "absolutely no difference in gameplay". You also get PvE skills associated with each of the race reputations. Those skills give better benefits based on your rank in the title.

Stop being an idiot, and learn how the game works.

Here, as a final post on this moronic topic, I'll fix your last statement to make it more accurate.

"PS: more titles also means, that I can max KoaBD easier ..."

That is no difference in gameplay, that are just only different features of those titles to make each of them a bit more interesting and to give those titles beside the pve only skills a reason for existence >.>

But the reputation titles totally affect in NO WAY anyhow, how the races will treat you, if they will be more friendly to you and have more quests for you, that offer only to people, whith high reputation, because they started to trust you more, or if they treat you like shit, because your reputation towards a race is absolutely not good...

thats the bad point of the reputation titles i pointed out, where Gothic 3 is MUCH MUCH better, because there you can have also negative reputation and not only positive towards all races.

And those information we receive.. I don't want only to hear it in huge text blocks from some dumb NPC's .. I want to receive those information, by explorign the charr society personally with my character, through talking with charrs, making quests for them and getting better reputation under the charr, so that they start to treat me not like a stranger or like an enemy (mouse).
No they should start to look at my character with higher reputaton towards the charr, like a friend, someone who understoods the Charr.
So more reputation you have towards a race should not only affect, that some dumb skills become through a title stronger and that an environmental effect gets better .. thats a shit concept for repututation titles, that has nothing to do with interactive gameplay content, like in Gothic 3

About your dumb incorrect fix: Thats only your personal opinion. only because your alternatives are bigger, doesn't mean, that the title will become easier, you've still to max 30 Titles. 30 Titles arwe 30 titles, regardless for what you have to do for them.

When this is not enough for you, Anet can still add a Rank 7 to KoaBD with 35 Max Titles as new Max ...

R7 is then for example: "Ruler of the World" or so, anything that can top God under mere Mortals

Actually, they do affect how the races treat you. Go talk to a Merchant, Dye Trader, Material Trader, etc. with rank 1 of the title. Now, boost your rank up to 10, and talk to them again. Their intro dialog changes. Also, try to buy armor at rank 1 of the title, consumables at rank 1 of the title, or weapons at rank 1 of the title. Guess what, you can't, because the title affects how they treat you. Nowhere in the game is there a restriction on quests, outside of Luxon/Kurzick. Even the Factions quests are minimal. Making quests unavailable to people will be a BIG mistake that will make many people mad.

This is Guild Wars, not Gothic 3. If you want to play a different game, play a different game.

Wow. Did you play the game? Did you do the quests? Did you read the quest logs? Did you watch the cutscenes? When you complete Warband of Brothers (a primary Vanguard quest) you get a nice little cut scene. In it, Pyre kills another Charr. He also has a discussion with Gwen about it. His discussion with the Charr he killed tells a lot about Charr society. His discussion with Gwen tells more. That is just one quest out of many. Look into the quests for Anton, Captain Langmar, Vael, Brave Brent Poltroon, and Sergeant Weststar. Look at the Cathedral of Flames dungeon. Really, there is quite a bit in the game that explains the Charr society.

It does become easier. Currently, to max 30 titles, you have to max almost every single one that can be maxed. With some of the PvP titles being virtually impossible to max, this means there is few you can ignore/skip. Adding MORE titles, especially ones that would be easy to max, means you can reach the 30 titles maxed faster and easier. The ranks for the title are named after quotes from a movie. There are no more quotes from that movie I know of that would give another rank for the title. Enough people already complain that 30 titles is hard to max, making it 35 would be cruel to them.

Start paying attention when you play the game. And stop wanting Guild Wars to be a different game. This is not any of the other games you play, if you want to do what those games offer, then go play THOSE games.

Why should we give people a title for dying items, salvaging items, and running around? There's no purpose to it. I honestly don't know why we give people titles for opening chests or Identifying golds as it is, but these are downright idiotic. We may as well give someone a title for logging into the game, next.

1. The white mantle are evil fanatics. GW characters are forces of good only.
2. The salvage titles are treasure hunter and wisdom. Since salvaging is SO easy that it would make no sense.
3. The sylvary do not exist yet.
4. The charr are in war with humans.
5. The crafter title would be a joke. On top of that, it should be called 'Artisan Assistan' or something like that.
6. Don't make me start on the dye one...

If you want PvE skills in Prophecies, you'll have to make either a Shinning Blade title or make them unlinked.
